Message from the Head of Department

The Department of Foreign Languages is aware that studying languages, literatures, and cultures is crucial to developing the ability to recognize, respect, and celebrate differences as well as to actively engage in discussions about diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice. Our courses and programs play a crucial role in assisting students in understanding cultural, racial, national, and international diversity better. Our courses act as gateways to many viewpoints and civilizations.

To ensure that all points of view are heard not just in our country but also in the rest of the globe, we place a high priority on studying voices and situations that represent cultural, individual, social, socioeconomic, and political differences.

Hence, we:

• Aspire to diversity in our course options and curriculum;
• Provide instructors, staff, and students with opportunity to learn about problems of diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice;
• Inspire pupils to learn about the globe;

Promote programs that deal with concerns of fairness, justice, and inclusion.

The professors in the Department of foreign Languages will keep working hard to make sure that our courses and programs are shaped by the values of inclusion, diversity, equity, and justice and that they consciously support faculty, staff, and students whose voices have been historically silenced.
