Mr. THAB Chanthorn

Mr. THAB Chanthorn is the Head of Department of Foreign Languages at the ACLEDA Institute of Business. He is awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Bachelor of Law from Western University and Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE). He has earned a Master of Education in Higher Education Management and Development from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP).

He has done his research thesis in the field of educational leadership and management, published research journals for the institute, and has had a wide range of experience in teaching English for over 10 years with academic positions as an Associate Dean of English, Academic Librarian Manager, thesis Co-supervisor and Program Coordinator, just to name a few. Chanthorn has also been involved in legal practice by taking part as clinical counselor at the law firm, dealing and resolving the legal issues with the ADR model, Alternative Disputes Resolutions. He has been awarded the outstanding lecturer in the institutional level for his classroom management, motivation, morality, teaching method, and scoring and assessment.

He has philosophized the relevance of teaching theories into one sentence that language is unconsciously constructed, not to memorize, and problematizing the issues of subject matters for students is important in teaching and learning.
