To maintain growth of loan portfolio and to prevent credit risks, financial institutions need to ensure that they would have credit policy including credit management system as standard in place for developing Credit policy, loan operating manuals, loan procedures, and loan guidelines to support their credit operations. This course is ideal for those whose work involved with credit policy development.

Learning Outcomes

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of credit policy and credit management system in MFIs and Banking sectors.
  • Identify the important elements of Credit Policy, and
  • Establish the effective Credit Policy.

Training Fee

  • USD 98 per participant per training course.
  • USD 92 per participant for organization sending 3-5 participants to the course.
  • USD 87 per participant for organization sending 6 participants up to the course.

This fee includes training materials, refreshments, lunch and certificate.

Payment Condition: There is no charge for any cancellation which is made by the deadline of the registration. Cancellation after deadline of the registration and participants appearing without proper cancellation will be charged the full amount.

Methodology

The training workshop methodology will be focused on experience based and participatory approaches including brainstorming, group discussion, group work, sharing hand-on experience, real case studies, training game, participant's problem raised and addressed during training workshop.

Trainer

Mr. OU Dyna, Assistant Senior Vice President & Head of Credit Division, ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Duty & Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials of refreshment courses for chief branch credit officer.
  • Support daily tasks of credit department of ACLEDA Bank Lao relating to guideline, credit manuals and procedure of loan by products.
  • Support daily work of chief branch credit officer.
  • Develop procedures, forms of loan product and seeking loan approval from Senior Vice President & Head of Credit Division.
  • Amend credit and environment & social manuals with respect to credit and environment, social and community policies regarding SVP & Head of CRD advices.
  • Prepare instruction/reminder letters to strengthen credit tasks implementation to all branches.
  • Response to external audit/lenders/regulators in term of operating manual by product and procedures.

Work Experiences:

  • 3 years of Assistant Senior Vice President & Head of Credit Division.
  • 1 month as supporting team of credit department of ACLEDA Bank Lao to strengthen credit quality.
  • 8 years of Assistant Senior Vice President & Manager/Assistant Manager and staff of Credit Control Unit.
  • 4 years of AVP & Manger of Credit Officer.
  • 2 years of Credit Officer.
  • 11 years of a member of trainer pool of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Education:

  • 2003-2005 Master of Business Administration.
  • 1998-2002 Bachelor of Banking and Finance.
