Due to the development of the financial institutions' activities, the ever-expanding range of products and services and their growing scale, financial institutions are facing increasingly diversified risks that are more complex to manage. Therefore, internal control and risk management systems play a crucial role and are necessary to develop in order to ensure the excellent quality of work.

Effective internal control and risk management is likely to improve performance against objectives by contributing to fewer sudden shocks and unwelcome surprises, more efficient use of resources, reduced waste, reduced fraud, better service delivery, reduction in management time, better management of contingent and maintenance activities, lower cost of capital, improved innovation, increased likelihood of change initiatives being achieved, more focus internally on doing the right things properly, more focus externally to shape effective strategies and so on.

Training Fee

  • USD 800 per participant per four-day training course.
  • USD 760 per participant per four-day training course for organization sending 3 to 5 participants to the course.
  • USD 720 per participant per four-day training course for organization sending 6 participants up to the course.
  • This fee includes training venue and materials, refreshments, lunch and certificate.

Payment Condition

There is no charge for any cancellation which is made by the deadline of the registration. Cancellation after deadline of the registration and participants appearing without proper cancellation will be charged the full amount.

Trainers

Ms. KIM Sotheavy, Group Chief Internal Audit Officer of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Cambodian. Born October, 1965. Mrs. Kim Sotheavy joined ACLEDA in September, 1994. As Group Chief Internal Audit Officer, she is responsible for overall strategic planning and running the day-to-day internal audit activities of the Bank as well as implementation of the internal audit plan. To guarantee the independence of the internal audit function, she is required to report directly to the Board Audit and Compliance Committee as well as Executive Committee. She is invited to attend the Board Audit and Compliance Committee from time to time to provide information and explanation on the various matters pertaining to the scope and the purpose of the committee.

She is responsible for leading the internal audit group, which consist of six departments including Internal Audit Development Department, Audit Reporting Department, Information System Audit Department, Credit Audit Department, Financial Audit Department, and Deposit & Transfer Audit Department.

Mr. RATH Yumeng, Executive Vice President & Group Chief Treasury Officer of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Cambodian. Born in 1962. Mr. RATH Yumeng joined ACLEDA Bank Plc. Board in September, 2014. He obtained his Master's degree in Finance and Banking from Western University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. From 1992 till March, 1996, he worked as the financial assistant for two projects in Cambodia: CMB/92/010 (Small Enterprise Promotion) and CBM/95/010 (Alleviation of Poverty through ACLEDA Financial Services). These two projects were implemented by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and funded by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). From April, 1996 till 1998, he worked as Financial Assistant at U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh. From January, 1999 till present, he has joined ACLEDA Bank Plc. as chief accountant/deputy head of finance (May, 1999 - May, 2007), head of finance division (June, 2007 - August, 2008), and head of treasury division (September, 2008 - May, 2015). From 2001 till September, 2014, he was also the shareholder representatives of ASA, Plc., which is one of the local shareholder of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Mr. LY Thay, Senior Vice President & Head of Operations Division of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Cambodian. Born in 1975. He obtained a Degree of Master in Finance from Pannassastra University of Cambodia in 2008. He attended numerous courses such as selling skills and management by MPDF programs in Cambodia, International Payment in USA in Year 2007, and training on Effectiveness of Human Resource Management by Human Resource University Program in Year 2015.

From 1997 to present, he has been working for ACLEDA Bank Plc. as accountant (1997 - 1999), internal audit staff (1999 - 2000), branch manager (2000 - 2002), office operations manager (2002 - 2004), operations department manager (2004 - 2006), and senior vice president & head of operations division (2006 - present).

Mr. TEP Bunthoeurn, Vice President & Head of Risk Management Department of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Mr. TEP Bunthoeun is a Vice President & Head of Risk Management Department at ACLEDA Bank Plc. and He is also a secretary of the Board of Risk Management Committee. In his work experience, He has worked for over 13 years, including more than 10 years in internal audit and risk management.

He started working for the Bank in 2002 by passing many position such as Accountant, Branch Internal Auditor, Deputy Manager of Financial Audit Unit, Manager of Saving & Transfer Audit Unit, VP & Deputy Head of Risk Management Division, and the he was promoted to current position according to his good performance and capacity in Risk Management, Internal control, and Corporate Governance. In his responsibilities in risk management and internal audit work, he has conducted many training courses to the Bank's management and staffs including its foreign subsidiaries on risk management, fraud prevention and detection, and internal audit practice and he has provided training courses and presentation on Risk Management to some financial institutions both in country and foreign country e.g Tajikistan and China since he nominated as a member of Trainer Team in 2006.

He attended advanced course in Enterprise Risk Management and numerous training courses related to Basel principles, corporate governance, internal control, and internal audit from both prestigious local and international institutions. He obtained a Master's degree of Finance and Banking (MFB) from National University of Management, Cambodia. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) majoring in accounting at Norton University.
